Meet Mr. Jones, the newest pocket pal monster. He is a happy monster that blushes when you smile at him and has a huge heart. Much to the little ladies great distress he has been added to my Etsy shop.

 Look what came in the mail yesterday…..yummy, delicious wool-blend felt!!! I ordered this felt from Wool Felt Central, perfect service and quick delivery. Hurry over, they are having a 20% off sale until March 7.

We have been studying birds lately, learning the differences of families and orders and labeling the body parts (nape, crest, wingbar, etc.). My favorite life science site to study animals has to be Sheri Amsel’s Exploring Nature site. You might recognize her name because she has authored and illustrated many books. Great site full of information and over 5,000 illustrations drawn by Sheri herself.

We have been enjoying the male Eastern Towhee that has been visiting our feeder lately. Occasionally we hear him signing……”drink your teaaaaaaaaaa.” The little ladies have been journaling all about him.

Thinking spring around here and prepping eggs to decorate and make festive. So far only steps 1 and 2 have been done. I will share more of this activity as we go along.

I cannot stop making these little guys. I tend to get a little obsessed with something for a short amount of time, then I get bored after a while and move on to a new creative endeavor. Have you noticed this about me yet?

Some of them have names like- Doughnut Hootenanny (center one in stripes),

and Woodsy Hootenanny.

After driving many miles through 3 snow-covered states yesterday and some stealing of hootenannies by family members (4 are missing from the owl stash) AND now Fauna seems to have the stomach flu (she emptied the contents of her stomach about an hour ago); I need to extend the giveaway for a day or two (depending on how sick Fauna is, hopefully she is the only one). Hope everyone understands!

She loves geraniums, she still plants them every spring. I thought a geranium brooch would be a good gift for her.

 The little ladies and I spent a big part of the afternoon today making 100 paper birds to hang for the party.

Valentines were also made for the family we will be seeing.
