seahorse and owl softies

2010 July 23
by 5 Orange Potatoes

I have 2 art markets coming up in Columbus, so I’ve been busy busy stitching away! Here are my latest designs-

Marie Antoinette Seahorse (with winky-eye of course)

and winky-eyed hootenannies!

I was so glad the hydrangea tree was in full bloom for Friday’s Flowers (Fimby) today; I mixed the blossoms up a bit with a few stems of lemon balm. I love the light summery scent of this bouquet.

Have a lovely weekend.

“That’s all.”

Oh My gosh, Oh my gosh, I really have to have one of those seahorses. PLEEEEEASE. :) My baby girl(ok well really she is 5) is our little seahorse. Each of our girls has an ocean animal nickname-connection. The oldest is our turtle, 2nd daughter is the octopus (and also manta ray- but forget about finding anything of those) and the last girl the seahorse. I would truly love to get one for her and I know she would love her. (Blinking eyes in a ‘hoping you’ll give in’ fashion here)

Of course I’ll make one for her Christie! Favorite colors?
Trying to come up with a turtle design, but haven’t quite gotten there yet.
A manta ray would be cool.
My baby girl just turned 7, she will always be the baby poor thing. ;)

She isn’t picky but loves pinks most probably. She has also always loved reds and yellows together. Might be some sort of Dora connection. :) Anyway, just let me know when and how much. I will paypal it right over. Thank you soooooo much!

Also must say, turtles and manta rays, Oh MY! grinning ear to ear just thinking about it. :)

Those hootenanies are the bomb!! Best of luck on the art shows, and to Columbus welcoming you with open arms!

And on the move/job uncertainty, my thoughts are with you, and my certainty that somehow, thinks always work out in the end, though the end may look nothing like the beginning! Having endured the whole job/employment/uncertainty/huge move question (and consequences) ourselves these past two years, I have so much empathy. Hang in there, one day at a time, look to each other, and keep taking baby steps. And stitching away :)
