outdoor monday
Thanks for all the kind words last week, things are starting to look up already and I know we will be OK. Anyway, life would be a bit boring if it weren’t for the ups and downs.
Dave is now working from home so our days have been a little different.
I am still sewing like a mad woman and have shamelessly been neglecting my garden except for picking flowers-

The mint seems to be taking over everything and I must beat the horrible heat and humidity and harvest it before it takes over my house!
The girls have been outdoors playing and discovering. Fauna loves the challenge of making frog bellies from sedum leaves. You have to bruise the back side of the leaf and get it to separate from the fleshy part then you can blow it up. It’s a lot easier said than done, I have not yet been able to make a perfect frog belly like Fauna has here.

Kind of looks like she is smoking a green cigar!
Araina was fascinated with watching a tiny inchworm inch on a piece of grass.

Kind of annoyed with the camera…….

My sister Robin came over and played in the fallen down apple tree with Fauna.

Everyday we have been enjoying many beautiful garden visitors (following pics taken by my sister Robin)-

If you are participating in Outdoor Challenge Mondays, be sure your blog link is below; if you still want to participate let me know and I’ll add you to the list.

love the pics! soo cute! greetings
LOVE the picture of Araina — that’s just priceless! And frog bellies…I’ve never heard of doing that to sedum leaves. I’ve got to try that!
Glad to hear that things are looking up. You’re right, you need to experience the valleys in life to truly appreciate the peaks.
Glad you are still riding the wave. We both work from home. I know when my husband is on the phone, because one of the children will appear with a finger on their lips, shushing. They know about video conferencing. One came in to the kitchen today and said she had waved to someone in South Africa. We are in the UK. Hmm.
Love the flowers. Beautiful photos. I’m looking forward to more time in the garden once term has finished. We are going to have to try and find some sedums in the garden. Fauna is setting a trend again.
Lovely photos! Dragonflies are my favorites. When I hear and see them I just feel that they are magical creatures.

I’ve never heard of frog bellies! Trying it soon! thanks for the tip. That pic of Ariana is hysterical.
Glad to know Dave is still working, and yes, it really does change up the flow, having the husband home, doesn’t it?
Love that wildflower bouquet, tin can and all! Oh, and an abundance of mint & a major life shake up definitely calls for some mojitos. (Also a great remedy for the heat & humidity!)
Roibin is like a little fairy dancing in the medows and trees. It is a really great picture! I think it looks like Fauna has a green tongue. Thats what I thought when she was making them. It is really funny!.Your shop is looking great. You’ve really been productive. Have a great day!
we are loving our visitors also

The sedum frog belly is hilarious. I’ll need to see if I can find some here in the NW.
Glad to see that the glass is filling up again.

I love seeing Robin when she visits – she’s like a beautiful fairy dancing in the trees.
And Isaac is ALWAYS annoyed with the camera. “Why are you taking pictures?” he asked me today. Um…because you are so CUTE!
