handmade star nosed mole

Flora, the star nosed mole, is finally finished. I’m quite pleased with how she looks.
I think my favorite part of her is her bum and tail.

How cute! My kids were looking over my shoulder, and they both love this little mole.
She really is a cutie. Marcus and I were recently talking about what kind of an animal we would be and he suggested I be a star nosed mole. I declined, because the pictures I’d seen didn’t appeal to me – but this makes me rethink it.

You should totally make a possum! The tail of your mole (which is awesome, by the way) screams “possum!” to me. When we lived in an upstairs duplex apartment years ago, we had a family of possums that would come up on our porch. Now we have possums and raccoons that come to our front walk to finish up leftover cat food. Needless to say, I have a soft spot for possums. (:
