outdoor challenge participants
There’s been a lot of fun being had outdoors this week-
Owen, from Chocolate Eyes, he’s just a baby but he is able to find the joy of a tree.

Tricia and her little girl, from Little eco footprints, spent the day at a beach in Australia.

Nicole and her little ladies, from Frontier Dreams, are excited to find snails in their backyard. They were inspired to make a snail out of beeswax.

Becky and her grandson Marcus, from pebbles in the water, are enjoying the outdoors by painting with flowers and leaves.

Janelle and her family, from Brimful Curiosities, made curls from dandelion stems.

Alex and her little crew, from Iveyrock, spent some time in the water.

Adam and his little sweetie Eliana, from The West Family, are really enjoying thier time outside together bird watching.

And finally my little ladies planted seeds in the garden today.

This is such a great idea. I’m coming to this so late, but I put together a collage of what we’ve done so far this month at:

We had an awesome experience watching a red tailed hawk here: http://homeschoolingonhudson.blogspot.com/2010/04/village-earth-day-fest-flint-knapping.html
Looking forward to going through all the links!

It is so great seeing all of the kids enjoying nature. Love the baby with the tree- adorable. Here are some pics from our outdoor adventures this week. http://raisingcreativeandcuriouskids.blogspot.com/2010/04/great-outdoors-challenge.html
Take Care,
Jen
I love seeing these pictures of children playing and inventing outdoors. It’s so good for them. Even though we are not doing the challenge, (we live in the city, believe it or not, and spend weekday afternoons on the playground!) I thought you might like a nature craft we did which is ideal for young children, Spring Printmaking, at Acorn Pies. love, Beth
Looks like everyone is having such fun!
Cara
So many wonderful ways to enjoy exploring outdoors – it’s really terrific to realize that there are all these children getting a chance to learn about and love the environments that support us.
here is our super sandy and fun day! http://adventuresofaflake.blogspot.com/2010/04/sand-doon-fun.html
Great photos! We didn’t get to get out today it was very cold and raining. Tomorrow for sure.
Looks like the weather was great everywhere this weekend!

I am loving these daily updates. We’ve been outside every day, but I have forgot the camera every time! Shoot! Here are some recycled pics (from early Spring) and a post about getting OUTside!
