dandelion wishes- outdoor challenge

2010 April 20
by 5 Orange Potatoes

Make a wish, take a deep breath, and blow…….

Harvest (excerpt)

In the meadow-grass
The innocent white daisies blow,
The dandelion plume doth pass
Vaguely to and fro, -
The unquiet spirit of a flower
That hath too brief an hour.

Ellen Mackay Hutchinson Cortissoz [?-1933]

Have a lovely day tomorrow :)

Great pictures…I love all your dandelion posts. I’ll have to get a picture of Bugsy trying to blow one. He hasn’t quite got the knack yet, but he’s very entertaining to watch! ;-)

Hello! Hello! Lovely pictures. Love the swing ones! Those will be treasured photos!

I believe you have a friend named Nancy? I think she wanted my dishrag pattern. I know she has a blog, but has not posted in awhile. Tell her to post her email addy on my blog ( I won’t publish it!) and I will send her the pattern….It is a Bernat pattern that I kind of altered.

    Have a wonderful week! Karen

Hmmmm, only Nancy I know if my hubby’s Aunt. She doesn’t have a blog so I”m not sure who this would be.

  28. April 20, 2010

Adorable pictures! Whenever I see dandelions now, I think of you, because of all those lovely dandelion posts you did last year.

  30. April 20, 2010

GREAT photos Lisa. Do you use a flash? I wonder how you get your girls so “crisp.” Isaac is forever moving…and even in the bright sun at F2.8 he’s blurry. Tips? :)

    • April 20, 2010

no flash…..hate flash. Evening light when the sun is just starting to set makes killer photos!

      • April 20, 2010

I also have an action setting that captures movement instead of blurs it.

        • April 21, 2010

Aha! I was pretty sure you didn’t use flash. I hate flash too. I will try my action setting instead of manual. I really get tired of all the blur – and how do you tell a 3.5 year old to not move. LOL!

  31. April 20, 2010

I miss real dandelions… I can’t find them here in TX.
