You get these 2 families together and you can’t keep them out of the trees!

5 little monkeys in a tree!

Outdoor Challenge Participant of the Day- Chrisite and her house full of girls, from It’s a Wild Life. I love that this family is getting out everyday although the temps haven’t gotten out of the 30′s yet; so what am I complaining about when we have a day in the upper 40′s?? Would you believe there are snakes falling from the trees up there? Here’s the proof-

Each summer we have a big group Tye dye party. We dye shirts, socks, bandannas, onesies, skirts, headbands, leg warmers, tablecloths, anything white, and anything we are excited to try. It’s really messy, and we (children included) have these black death dyed hands for about 3 days afterwards.
I love how your pics of the cloth on the grass! I am excited about following your blog…we are participating in your nature challenge, although I am not posting pics for each day. But I sure wish I had a camera today. A bunch of family members were together for our 95 year old grandpa’s birthday and my husband was playing the game Ninja with the kids in the backyard. Such a great moment!

Tell me that’s not really a snake.
HA! I fell for it when I first saw the pic…..rubber snake!
lori, i always have trouble getting to you blog……the link you provide does’t get me there. i’d love to visit!
We went to a local lake today…dried up from the hot summer, but quite a spectacular site. http://summerrosemagic.blogspot.com/2010/04/children-and-nature-awareness-month.html
I love that photo of them all poking their tongues out…so cheeky and cute.
We had fun bobbing for apples outdoors today. http://littleecofootprints.typepad.com/little_eco_footprints/2010/04/apple-bobbing.html

those trees are perfect climbing trees. waaay to hard for any kid to resist.
we are heading into autumn too, but thankfully today was still warm enough for a paddle in the lake. will have to join your outdoor challenge when I get 5 mins peace to read about it properly!
Well it might be spring in the Northern Hemisphere but down here in Australia we’re heading into autumn and relishing the cooler temperatures which make it easier to get outside without getting burned or dehydrated! We (Myself, husband 2 year old daughter Tess and labrador Rhubarb)headed out in the tinny yesterday(Aussie slang for small aluminium boat) and spotted some wildlife on the water. Here’s our post:

We had beautiful weather today, and spent much of the day outdoors. http://urbancottagehomeschool.blogspot.com/2010/04/great-outdoor-challenge-saturday.html
I am so bummed…Benjamin just had no desire to go outside today. I had lunch with my BFF (by the way, she loved Skylar Hootenanny!) and when I arrived home…Benjamin was in the yard. It was only after talking w/ Michael I found out that he was basically forced out into the yard! LOL
Oh well. I guess a day inside isn’t going to kill ‘im.
Yea for little monkeys in a tree! Adorable!
