february snowstorm

Well, we’ve been hoping for some snow clouds to come over this part of Ohio and give us a generous amount of snow; we finally got that generous snow! Some of us Ohioans love it, some, not so much (Dad!).

Denali usually loves the snow-

But, today he was protesting. If you’ve ever heard a husky speak, you know how they like to protest! I know this guy thinks I’m a total nag, he “back-talks” me the most in the family. I don’t think he likes the sound of my voice. Too funny, I’m sure Dave can relate at times!

The little ladies, however, love the snow! It was hard to get them inside….until they heard there was a big cuppa hot cocoa waiting!

The neighborhood coyote pack have been quite the hunters in our back field for the last few days.  I think they are having a hard time finding food right now and I don’t think they care very much for the snow! (Sorry, no coyotes in the picture, they were a little shy and I need a telephoto lens).

I hope everyone is enjoying their weather right now!

    >sigh< how beautiful!

I was so excited by our blizzard warning- the girls even had a snow day on Wednesday in anticipation of the "big" storm. The snow didn't fly until late afternoon and we got just over two inches- what a let down!

ah hahah! The dog back talking is too much. Horray fot lots of snow! And be careful for the neighborhood kitties. When the coyotes got too hungry a few years ago here in MA, they started getting all the poor cats!

What a lot of snow! Your dog is really beautiful. I love watching dogs race about in the snow.

I didn’t know you had a dog! Denali is gorgeous!!! While you are enjoying the snow we are playing in the mud!!! We have had a lot of rain and more to come.

I got the day off of work because of the snow…. I adore the snow :)

Denali is beautiful. Our outdoor dog, Rudy, is indoors because of the snow. He is not to happy about it, but he is too old to be out in the snow and cold. He has been begging a lot to go out…acts like he has to use the restroom..I am onto him though! I know what game he is playing! hehehe Dogs are so awesome!

What an absolutely perfect suited beastie for you. You know how a pet can look like they belong in a family? Hard to imagine snow right now with our weather! Enjoy it!

Love this glimpse of snow! Its just below 60* here with light rain, and tomorrow we will have almost 70* and sunny…. Spring time has found its way to Phoenix!

I also wanted to add that I LOVE those pictures of your husky. I can just hear him. So precious!

  10. 2010 February 10

We are finally getting the snow that you guys just got. It must have moved North.
Danali is GORGEOUS. What fantastic pictures Lisa. Glad your girls want to get out in the white stuff and play…I haven’t been so fortunate Isaac and we are going a little stir crazy.

We are experiencing our second snowstorm in a matter of days! Today is a little more like a blizzard than the one we had last week–more wind!

Denali is a beautiful dog–and that’s coming from a “cat person.” HAHAHA!

Oh, and I’m glad you mention there were no coyotes in the bottom photo or I would’ve been staring at it all afternoon trying to spot ‘em. LOL

  12. 2010 February 10

I love the snow too and I’m always sad to see it leave. Denali is gorgeous! Isn’t it funny how the animals have such distinct personalities?

  13. 2010 February 10

The pictures of Denali griping are really funny. We are waiting for our share of the storm today! Can’t wait, since the fridge is full and we don’t have to go anywhere. We like to sled in a little alley in our neighborhood! Beth

  18. 2010 February 10

…what a beautiful dog! I never heard a husky speak.

  19. 2010 February 10

Denali is beautiful!!! I wish Princess had a chance to get out and play in the snow. The weather here has been sunny and mild. Where oh where is my Oregon rain?

Everyone here is talking about snow.
We’ve been practically barefoot around my place the last week or so. Amazing, since usually we’re in the teens or twenties and lost in the gray about this time.
But I’ll take it the way it is now!! :)

Love the pics of the girls in the snow. I know you’re enjoying all that you can. We used to have a husky mix that would talk and when we first rescued her I thought she was growling – I learned to love her talking it always made me laugh.

  22. 2010 February 9

Love your husky! We know all about husky talk here with our 2 year old male husky – Paw Paw :) I LOVE how much he howls. He,suprisingly, wants nothing to do with snow.

  23. 2010 February 9

What beautiful photos. Back home, they have been getting slammed with snow this year. It is really unfair that I move, and they get all the snow after I leave. Wah, wah.

Enjoy the snow while it lasts! Denali is a such a beauty. :)

  24. 2010 February 9

    Denali is gorgeous!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of him.
We have tons of snow here, and will have lots more tomorrow.

  25. 2010 February 9

Gorgeous pics of Denali. This sounds so strange to say from way up here in Maine but we’ve had very little snowfall these past few weeks.

The girls look like they are enjoying it :0) Stay safe and warm.

I bet that husky loves snow..beautiful. I always loved when they have one blue and one brown eye. We are due another 12-18+ inches tonight. Im pretty sure were close to record. So far we have 29″, so after this storm it could be up to 47″. Im loving it, but it’s a tad crazy!

    Beautiful dog!
The children can have so much fun in the snow!
Here I’m glad that the snow is gone.
But it’s still freezing and the salt for the roads is almost finished.

    Happy snowdays :)

  28. 2010 February 9

I know all about huskies and their talking back :)
Denali is gorgeous!!! Love the bicolor eyes, we used to have 1 husky that had those beautiful eyes..our current pup Orion doesn’t.
We’re just getting the snow now !!
