valentine review
2010 February 4
I’ve been blogging a little over a year now (Jan. 24 was the year date). Some of you have been with me since day 1, but for those of you that haven’t here’s a review of Valentine’s 2009.
Valentine pocket hearts- made from sweaters; made to stuff full of sweet goodies. Cute hanging on the door of your Valentine!
Valentine rosewater cookies- a yummy and refreshing cookie made with a splash of rosewater.
Valentine mushroom brooch- or make into a hair-clip for the little lady valentines.
Nature’s valentines- get outside and find the valentines that Mother Nature has left for you to discover.

Thank you for sharing these sweet Valentine’s activities. The pictures are gorgeous!

What a perfectly sweet idea, finding Valentines outdoors. I love this! Thank you for sharing it. Lovely photos too.
love! and you could fill those and leave them on someone else’s dorknob too!
Love the heart pockets. I think I might use that idea for my daughters valentines for schools! Thanks so much.
Oh my, what a sweet way you celebrated. I have not been very active with Valentines Day celebrations, and I think that I am going to change that this year, and have some fun.
Thank you for sharing
That little mushroom is so cute. Did you design that? Beth
Thanks Beth, yes, I designed it.
I love your blog so much! I get so inspired by your pictures and projects! Thanks for sharing all this with us.
I would love to make a few mushroom hair-clip for my daughter. Would you mind giving me an idea of how you attach the hair-clip on the felt?
I stitch with emb. floss around and around the clip until it’s good and tight.
Thank you for sharing the Valentine goodness. I especially like the mushroom barrette.
Hope you are feeling better.
Warm wishes,
Tonya
Goodness, those cookies look yummy. I love the idea of looking for nature’s valentines outside. I know someone who is always searching for heart shaped rocks.
Those cookies look super yummy!!
I love your hearts and I have to tell you that Solomon is a terrible loser when it comes to games. He cries and throws a fit : ) Yikes!
Mmm rosewater cookies! Such sweetness here.
Hope you are feeling better….and congrats on your blogging anniversary Lisa!
Congrats on your one year! I hope you’re feeling better soon as well!
LOVE this post…. Its all great
I’ve been wearing my heart mushroom for a week now
A year?!? Already? Wow.
I thought I’d been around here for a year, but those rosewater cookies don’t ring a bell – very cool, those.
That brooch/barrette is the sweetest little thing!
I loved especially your suggestion to find hearts in nature for Valentines day. Such a great activity for little ones…big ones too for that matter!
I don’t think I’ve never commented before either, so…hello! I’ve read your blog for a while, I’m sorry I haven’t commented sooner! I find so much inspiration from the activities you do with your girls, and how great your ideas for projects are. Thanks for sharing them with us all. <3
Congrats! I’m so glad you’re here!
I wish it were warmer here, I’d love to be looking for heart shaped leaves. Another good place to find some interesting heart shapes is a rocky beach. We find them there often! I will look back through the posts.
That’s funny
, I also started my blog on 24-01-09!
I love your Valentine pocket hearts and mushroom!!
Have a wonderful weekend
Totally love the sweater hearts. I think I’ll do something like that for the guys. Lol.. or make some heart-shaped skulls to keep the manliness aflame.
And NOW look what you made me do! Now, I have to go make some of those cookies!
Hope you’re feeling better, soon.
Oh, I love the heart shaped leaf. Maybe some Valentine’s Day landart would be fun! Thanks.
