achoo!

Hi all! I’m still here, but a little under the weather. Have had high fevers, achy bones and joints, sore throat and glands, and yada yada yada!  You’re all familiar with the symptoms, don’t need to list more. I promised myself back in January that I would take better care of myself and balance life a little better (hence blogging a little less). So with the computer off, plenty of tea and vitamin C at hand, and getting lots of rest (and an occasional popsicle from Araina) my immune system is starting to fight back.

tea and vitamin c

So, as the house gets messier and the kids get crankier, I have been playing solitaire (a lot of solitaire), watching Greta Garbo movies, listening to the girls read, and watching them play math games (oh boy, Rainy is sore loser). I’ve also been working a little bit on this bunny-

it’s hard to sew when the wrists are hurting from the flu, but I was able to get the long floppy ears done.

Off to bed with a warm cuppa tea and I need to check on the hubby, he seems to be deteriorating as the minutes tick by. Now to keep the little ladies healthy!

We have been dealing with earches, stuffy runny noses, coughing…lots of coughing. I am so ready for it to be spring and summer and not have sickness cycling person to person around the house. It’s hard to get things done that way! Hope you feel better soon.

Funny you said that about the cough Nicola, I’m just starting that irritating cough! My throat is raw and I have very little of a voice.

Oh moo! I hope you feel better soon! The bunny is just adorable.

Try taking a warm bath with rosemary, eucalyptus and lavender- it helps me bunches. Also, when I go to bed it helps to have big bowl of baking soda mixed with eucalyptus and lavender essential oils (congestion can keep me up).

Hope you feel better soon — the flu is the worst! And that bunny is so darn adorable! I’m planning to make my kiddos your gremlin for valentine’s day. Here’s hoping I haven’t procrastinated too long!

Hope you recover soon from your cold and that the little ones avoid it. Isn’t it awful being sick as a muma – the house never seems quite as cosy and restful as we when we had OUR mumas looking after us :-)

Oh…ugh…not the flu! It sure knocked me for a loop back in Dec. The only thing that made me happy during that time was coconut water mixed with orange Gatorade over crushed ice–yummy! :) Hope you feel better soon.
