“Ice skating” in cornfields,

fauna ice walking

ice walking

gathering greens for the mantel,

rainy gathering evergreen

and warming up the kitchen cooking away. So excited……”I smell snow!” OK, so it may only be a few inches, but we’ll take it!

I remember as a child when we would skate on sidewalk ice. It was so much fun until some adult would come and chop it up. I envy you and the girls being able to find fresh greenery for your mantle though. That’s going to be beautiful and smell heavenly. Enjoy your Christmas! xxoo

When we got our first snow, I slid all over the ice as I walked to the library. People must have thought I was a crazy person as I “skated”, but it was so much fun!

Lovely photos. Enjoy the upcoming Winter!

ah, yes, apparently the kids love to skate on ice. My kids were scooting on ice. I like Fauna’s shoe.

Yea for icy fields! Yea for greens!

We’re awaiting some snow–according to the radar it should be arriving around 3 AM. We’re in the “couple of inches” zone. So…we’ll see!

I’m sooooo dreaming of a white Christmas for us. Not that I’ll be in any mood to enjoy it (this is a chemo week–but it’s the FINAL chemo week!).

HURRAY for corn-ice!!!! Reminds me of Brian and I “corn-icing” in the field!!!! All they need is the old, vintage, sled. That is truly the best on corn ice :) It better still be there come solstice so I can play.
