I remember as a child when we would skate on sidewalk ice. It was so much fun until some adult would come and chop it up. I envy you and the girls being able to find fresh greenery for your mantle though. That’s going to be beautiful and smell heavenly. Enjoy your Christmas! xxoo
When we got our first snow, I slid all over the ice as I walked to the library. People must have thought I was a crazy person as I “skated”, but it was so much fun!
HURRAY for corn-ice!!!! Reminds me of Brian and I “corn-icing” in the field!!!! All they need is the old, vintage, sled. That is truly the best on corn ice It better still be there come solstice so I can play.

I can almost smell the beautiful greens that you gathered! Lovely Friday.
ah, yes, apparently the kids love to skate on ice. My kids were scooting on ice. I like Fauna’s shoe.
Yea for icy fields! Yea for greens!
We’re awaiting some snow–according to the radar it should be arriving around 3 AM. We’re in the “couple of inches” zone. So…we’ll see!
I’m sooooo dreaming of a white Christmas for us. Not that I’ll be in any mood to enjoy it (this is a chemo week–but it’s the FINAL chemo week!).
We…Can…Send…You..Some…Snow!!!!
Yes, we’ve battened down the hatches here for some serious snow…they’re saying we could get up to 20″!!!
Great photos. I love that you “smell snow.”
We just got ours today (the snow, that is) so hopefully it will be headed your way soon! Love the shot of Araina gathering greens.
A few inches of snow for Christmas would be a nice gift!
I love that Araina has giant gloves on
