This afternoon I finally started to feel like myself again. Here are some things we did today:

Ornament making- love this one by Araina of me.

Playing outside in the cold; no snow yet, but the little ladies find the cold invigorating.

Fauna is writing paragraphs and reading biographies.

I’m working on some new bigfoot boys!

And getting out the last holiday goodies to decorate the house.

Tomorrow we will be cutting evergreens to decorate the hearth and preparing for the Yule tree, which we will be getting on Saturday. I also need to finish the dream pillows which I make each year for the little ladies for winter solstice (thank goodness I started them this past summer). I have so much catching up to do!

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes and remedies for the vertigo; niacin and apple cider vinegar are going to be well stocked in my kitchen from now on! I have said it many times but I must say it again I LOVE THIS BLOGGING COMMUNITY; so supportive and full of wisdom. Thank you all again!

I hope you’re feeling better now! Sucks to be sick, especially when you’re busy with holiday stuff! I love that ornament of you! Ha! I can’t tell if you’re yelling, in the middle of a mosh pit, singing opera or…. Leaves a lot to the imagination! I love it!

I love the picture of your girls. They look quite happy and their hats are so sweet! I always find children so wonderful to be around this time of year- they’re always at least a *little* bit caught up in the magic of the season.

I’m happy to hear you are on the mend. Araina’s expression in the photo with her sister is too funny :)

    Happy decorating!

Glad you’re feeling better! Just in the nick of time. We have three more with chicken pox over here. Kind of puts a damper on my nighttime crafting. It’ll be over soon…soon, soon, I hope!

I’m glad you are feeling better! Didn’t realize you were sick….been having some headaches myself. I love the pictures of Fauna and Araina with all the winter gear. Looks like its really cold but they are really prepared. We have been finding daily walks “invigorating” as well. :)

Good to hear that you are feeling better! The nesting dolls are lovely. I’m definitely not a Christmas person, but even I can appreciate that!

Love the cute decorations! Your little ladies are just too precious! They’re calling for snow in our neck of the woods tomorrow. If it materializes, I’ll send it your way. :)

Your two girls are so darling!

What a lovely day :-) And such adorable ornaments.

  23. December 17, 2009

Love the new softies! And, I do love those little houses. We have two of them on our tree–they have a hole in the back, so they may be illuminated. So dear!

The photo of the girls is adorable!

I went to the Scholastic Warehouse sale today and they had ALL the Basher books–I bought “Biology,” and decided against the rest to save money…but now that I think about it, I think I may return & get all of them!

They are 25% off the list price of $ 8.95–it seems ridiculous not to stock up on them!

Thanks for the skunk remedy! I’ll keep it on hand for next time… which if it were 300 years from now would still be too soon! I am afraid it will be sooner, since this one was young. I actually tossed some vinegar around the truck and it did help a bit! The boys aren’t that rank and when I wiped the puppies down it did help, too. So we aren’t as bad off as we were yesterday. Lol. It was nauseating! And poor Mama dog had yellow-green all over her pretty white neck. She got it the worst.

I love love LOVE the new bigfoot guys!! I think I’ll make some for my boyos. They thought Alfred was a hoot!

    Super cute!
