abominable softie
2009 December 11
This poor blue abominable is wondering………
“Where’s the snow?”
“I have seen it in Virginia, Maine, Wisconsin, Iowa and many other places……but not here where little ladies are begging for it.”
“Please share your snow.”
*This little guy is a special gift for Araina; he was made from a sweater she has outgrown. Who knew that ugly fuzzy sweaters could make such a great abominable?!?!? He was inspired by the Yeti Club where the slogan is “be nice to Yetis.”

Oh my gosh! He’s so crazy looking! I love him!
My son would flip over this guy!
Great job!
Darn, your fluffy guy is very cute! Have you done a snow dance? Maybe that would work??
Love, Kyndale
That is so super cute! What lucky little ladies to have a mama as creative and sweet as you Lisa!

sara
i think he’s the cutest abominable abomination i’ve ever seen
hope you get the snow you’re wanting!
Ah all this snow talk and I sit here in humid heat heat heat! Enjoy your cold…and I hope some snow comes for you and your abominable very soon….he’s so adorable.
Boy, I would love to share some. There’s about 1 and a half feet on the ground and walking down the sidewalk is getting tricky!
AWESOME!

What a great use for an old loved sweater. And a beautiful color too!
Thanks all, he was so much fun to make!!!!
That is just about the cutest thing ever! I even had to show it to my husband.
I love it, Lisa! Your softies are the cutest, but this guy takes the cake. I hope your little ladies get some snow soon!
This guy rocks! I have some green fur that was supposed to make an Oscar the Grouch for Halloween, but we had a last minute change…to a lion. I may have to make some thing like this for the kids. Thanks!
I always felt so sorry for the ‘Bumble’ in the Rudolf story – Yours is adorable…
You are going to have one very happy little girl!!!
So adorable! What kind of needle do you use to sew that thread on for the edges? I am using embroidery thread because I don’t have needle that will do yarn. This is so, so, so cute! I just love the ideas you share! Hope all is well with you!
Yeah, I want snow too. NOW! And I want a white Christmas. Pretty please!!!
I love this guy! I am actually in the middle of trying to find a cool yeti to make. Something about being buried in snow right now makes me want to attempt one.
He’s the cutest adominable snowman I’ve seen yet! What a doll. I’m going to check out the Yeti site. We have even been getting snow here in California where it rarely snows. I will try to send it your way.
He is the best one yet! I can’t wait ’til you start selling them.
hint, hint
Love this fuzzy blue abominable!!
You know, I rarely bought sweaters for Benjamin when he was younger & still don’t! I might have to start searching for wild & woolly sweaters just so we can repurpose them when he outgrows them!! I tend to give things to the consignment shop–to make a few dollars. Maybe I’ll skip consigning & try reusing instead!
It’s windy here today…and not a sign of snow in sight.
YAY!!! i’m going to post this on the yeti club! love your creativity and making things out of outgrown clothes for your children. i made a little doll from a pair of natalie’s old jeans. it’s a little rough on the edges (okay, a lot rough!) but the sentiment is still there and she still loves it…
I’m going to buy Araina a new blue ugly sweater to wear!!!
This little dude is soooooo the cutest!!!!
