pink feather tree
We have been busy decorating the house today; the favorite “job” was decorating the little pink feather tree! It is full of cinnamon ornaments and Fauna’s little vintage ornament which she bought at an antique shop a few years ago; she is always placed on this tree.
We have also been making beeswax ornaments, homemade lasagna, sewing little bookworms and yetis, and learning about Hildegard of Bingen (more on her later, including her recipe for nerve cookies).
Fauna has been watching the weather map; we see that many of you in the USA are getting A LOT of snow- please send the snow vibe our way (to Ohio)! Since this is probably our last winter in Ohio, we want lots of snow; I don’t think Georgia will provide us very much in the years to come!

How beautiful! Did you make the tree?
No, I bought it a few years ago from Michaels. My mom was thinking it would be easy to make one with a pink boa though.
What a fun pink feather tree!
Loved the feather tree so much I google-d it….found many to choose from. Amazon even has a peacock tree. Who would have thought! Thanks for sharing the photo of yours. It is Pink Chakra Love with a little Vintage Charm!
Pink feather tree!!!!!!?????? That’s amazing, never seen one before. Too groovy.
You are right about the snow! It was almost 80 degrees yesterday here in southern Georgia. I’ve known it to snow around the Atlanta area, though. I believe there is usually one or two snows a year up there.
I love the pink feather tree! We are putting our tree up this weekend…I know it’s terribly late, but the weather is just so warm & it really doesn’t feel like the holidays are upon us! I just can’t get my brain to assimilate.
So good to see you again! When is the move?
The feathers are wonderful! Please tell us where you got it.
No snow here in western Ky. Yet.

Michaels….few years ago. We also have a white one.
Awesome tree…and little fairy. Love her.
If you get some Lisa, send some our way.
We are in Southwestern Ontario (not quite five hours from Sandusky) and we still have NO snow…and are only expected 4- 8 cm in the next 5 days. So much love living in nordic country….I want my snow.
Hi Lisa and Ladies!
I am in love with your pink feather tree! And Fauna’s vintage ornament is just perfect for such a whimsical tree. I could have sent you a snowball yesterday, but they are now melted! Even we, here in the SF Bay Area, had some snow!! It is so cold here, I think the canadian geese who migrate here for the winter are wondering if they are in the right place! I can here them honking outside my window!
Have a lovely and festive day!
Lisa, Goose and Binkyxoxoxo
Oh my, how sweet is this?
I do hope you get some snow – but with warmer temperatures…
I have never in my life seen a pink feather tree! I don’t think I could pull that off in a house filled with boys! I love the vintage ornament. It reminds me of ones that I had when I was a kid.
Your blog is forever making me think and say to myself, “One day. One day when all three of them are walking you will do more of these things.”
Is the pink feather tree homemade? I’m probably missing something from a previous post here.
Love the feather tree. In pink to boot! Daughter would go crazy for it.
Blessings
Diane
I’ve never seen a feather tree… it’s charming and I love the vintage ornaments Fauna chose
We’re expecting about 14 inches of snow today – I’ll be sure to send

Oh! I’ve never seen a feather tree before! Sehr schön – much beautiful!

IM ALLERGIC FOR FEATHERS – BUT THIS LOOKS COOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, that pink feather tree is so beautiful! And I love Fauna’s vintage ornament.
I live in California where we rarely get snow, but it did actually snow here earlier in the week. The mountain peaks look gorgeous covered in snow.
Wow! That has got to be the most unique tree I have ever seen! It’s really pretty…and I am not a pink person!
A PINK feather tree. Now that’s the first I have ever seen, and it is gorgeous!
What a cool tree! I gave my son a choice between doing a “fairy” tree or an “elegant” tree, and he chose elegant. So it is red and white and gold.
I’m totally digging the pink feather tree.
wow – my girls would go nuts for all that pink! Cool!
I think that tree is super! I like your style!
Sending snow vibes your way……..
Sara
u can have my snow!
Very cool tree.
We are at 8″ right now and it is still snowing. We even had some thunder snow a while ago. That was exciting. The picklets have had a blast playing in it today. NOT looking forward to deliver papers in it tomorrow morning…the blizzard warning goes into effect at midnight! Iowa winters…lol. But we love it none-the-less.
What a beautiful and unusual feather tree, and I love Fauna’s ornament. Vintage are the best kind to have. Some of mine come from all over the world. I have been collecting ornaments for almost 30 years and each one is precious to me. Only broken one glass one in all that time. Cried when it happened. Happy Christmas to you and yours. xxoo
That tree really is fantastic! We are getting pounded with snow and freezing temps…but we like it! Played in the snow today in 8 degrees! Hope you get some snow soon!
What a fantastic pink feather tree. I have never seen anything quite like it. It’s lovely. We got some snow, but…it has pretty much all melted. I wish we would just have snow stay all winter. What fun that would be!
What an amazing tree!
If you decide you need to pass the tree along when you move I get first dibs!! That is the COOLEST tree EVER. (except I think my cat would try to eat it)
I adore the vintage Santa — tell Fauna she has impeccable taste! xoxo ml
I really do love that feather tree! And, I adore vintage ornaments! We have three boxes of antique ornaments that we haven’t put on the tree since Benjamin was born…because of their high lead content! Phooey!
Last year my mother bought us three little antique gnomes–they are darling. I should post photos of them!
Glad you’re having a good holiday season…can’t wait to read about Hildegard of Bingen!
Thank you for all of your recent e-mails…you’re such a dear friend!
OMG! A Pink Feather Tree!! That’s fantastic!!
