Our scarlet maple is at its peak of color this week! I love to lay under its canopy and get caught up in its beauty!

The bark even has a reddish glow to it right now.

Every year we are sure to collect many scarlet maple leaves for study and crafty goodness. I love to include leaves on our Yule tree, so let the collecting and preserving begin!

Ahhhh, so beautiful and vivid colors on your pictures and on your tree! I suddenly feel an urgent need for planting a maple tree. Is it a special kind of marple called scarlet?

Oh, so beautiful. We have so many trees in our yard, many different maples, but no scarlet maples. We planted a sugar maple last year, and although it is still small, I dream of the color it will be to our yard in the years to come. Enjoy these lovely fall days!

Love how you wrote a-blaze, it sounds so beautiful and the pictures are tops! I would be collecting as many as I could were I there. I used to have two scarlet leaves that I kept on my bulletin board for almost 12 years. When I moved the board they crumbled from being so old. I still miss being able to look at them, but glad you showed them to me again. Thanks so much. xxoo
