autumn splendor
After a wet and cloudy week the sun decided to show her face this morning. We are having a knockout Autumn full of color thanks to our beautiful Ohio deciduous trees. I found myself being beckoned outside to photograph the sun’s rays hitting these beautiful trees. Our “baby” ginkgo is putting on a really golden show for us this year.
This tree just whispers wisdom if you are willing to stop and listen.
There were ladybugs all over our hawthorn tree sunning themselves!
Looks like the larva has left the gulls in the old pin oak tree.
And our beautiful maples are a-blaze with fiery colors!

So very beautiful! Now that ginkgo reminds me of a certain little beloved felt brooch I may have won from a lovely crafter *just like you*! x
I just love fall! Beautiful pictures, Lisa!
The weather was just as lovely for us today! I brought my coat to school just in case, but wish I’d have left it home. I spent the day enjoying the weather and spinning yarn. Every tree here has at least some color right now and they’re gorgeous. Love your ginko pics!
Oh so gorgeous! We lost almost all of our Autumn colors when we had a heavy snow storm and freeze in early October. I now will have to live vicariously through you
Happy Monday
Your photos are breathtaking!
Look at those vibrant colors! Wonderful Autumn capture, my favorite season.
Just beautiful!! We drove your way over the last week, having driven from Chicago to D.C. last weekend & back to the Chicagoland area yesterday. My family surely enjoyed the scenery that Ohio & Pennsylvania offered us.
P.S. – I’ve given to you an award today, hope you enjoy it!
I LOVE ginkgo trees! They are magic!
Gorgeous autumn images! I grew up in Michigan…..these photos make me miss those magical deciduous trees! Thanks for sharing the beauty!
Love, Sara
Amazing! The colors are so brilliant, I am in love. I will have to explore the seasonal color change through blogs like yours, so please post more about your pretty trees in the future!
Thank you for sharing!
Ooo, I love gingko trees, except when the fruit falls! Did you know it is a prehistoric tree, a conifer? Look closely at the leaves, and you will see the ancient pattern of needles on them.
Beautiful colours of autumn.
We just got enough cold and rain to turn the trees in our State. Yours are gorgeous! I love that you share things the way you do as I learn so much by reading your posts. Sorry I’ve been away for a while, but I’ll catch up. xxoo
Gorgeous photos Lisa. The ginkgo is magnificent! Sadly our “show” has come to an end ~ we’re just watching the last of the leaves fall now.
I love your fall colors! It really is such a beautiful time to be outside. The leaves in their splendor of reds and golds is like a gift before the cold and darkness of winter!
Enjoy!
Lisa
beautiful! the ginkgos are spectacular, aren’t they!
Oh just BEAUTIFUL. I have a feeling the autumnal colours in the US are more intense than here. Aren’t gingkos stunning? They’re such an ancient tree. I have a fossilised gingko leaf! Very precious.
