We’ve been a busy bunch the last few days! I’ve been sewing felt leaves to make all kinds of Autumn goodies!

Been hitting the books too! Charm, our big black cat, loves to learn with the girls. Here he is sharing a chair with Araina (he never leaves her side).

Went to the library today and picked out some travel guides to help plan some trips that are in the near future.

And today was my mom’s birthday;  we went to lunch then came home and made her a diabetic pumpkin pie. We also made a non-diabetic one for us!

I have been looking for a fun way to introduce sewing to Princess (and to me). These leaves are perfect! I think a trip to the craft store is in order. I already have a ton of embroidery floss. I just need to pick up some felt. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your cat is gorgeous! I love the veins on the leaves. My son wants to be a haunted tree for Halloween and I have to make sure I add that detail to some of the felt leaves I have planned for his costume.

I’m in love with the little leaf headbands! So cute! The pumpkin pie looks delicious. Did you make the crust? If so, we make the edge crinkly in the same way. I have a great crust recipe in my latest post… :) Happy fall!

The leaf crown is so beautiful! Are they stiffened in any way? And is there a backing band for the crown?

That leaf crown is wonderful. You really had me ready to pull out the felt for a garland but no room this year, next year though.

But the pumpkin pie…now that might be doable!

Me too on the crown… it’s just wonderful… when are you going to open that Etsy shop, Girl????
I’m having a wonderful time with my mom… she leaves on Thursday… the month has gone too fast! Thanks for asking.
I can hear you have big worries on your mind… my grandma always used to tell us that ‘these things have a way of working themselves out’. Hard to trust in that always, I know, but it’s amazing how they just do have a way of working themselves out. Thinking of you.
    Blessings and magic.

My girls would love it if one of our cats would adopt them like that – he is beautiful!!
