making flower children by sybille adolphi

2009 September 27
by 5 Orange Potatoes

This little fairy doll was inspired by the book, Making Flower Children,by Sybille Adolphi. My fairy doll is not in the book, but the book taught me how to put her together. It’s a lovely little book with patterns and instructions to make many little dollhouse-sized dolls that reflect flowers and insects that we see in our gardens. With the holidays right around the corner and knowing a lot of my crafty friends might be interested in this book- I’m giving one away.

This is what the back of the book says, “Here are detailed step-by-step instructions and illustrations for making a range of lively, creative flower figures. Activities are organized by season, making the book ideal for decorating a nature corner or seasonal table in the home or classroom.”

Oh sadly so sadly I have seen this just too late :O( Of that I am sure.

How I would have loved to make a few dolls for my adult nature corner.

I just wonder if you would be kind enough to give me a couple of tips for making these dolls? I undestand if not able too.
    Anyhow I send warmest wishes.

Oh my goodness…how dear! I would surely love to win this book. :)

Did you see my reply re: charging my healing stones? If not…basically I said I was glad you reminded me how to do it as I had forgotten. Thank you! As of now I have them in a little pink organza bag, hanging on my bedpost. But…I love your idea to string them like a rosary–I think I will do that! I’m not sure which small beads to string between then, though. Any suggestions?

What a sweet book. I would love a chance. I love making my 2.5 year old neice things from natural materials. I tend to steer away from all those commericalized dolls out there. Thanks
