autumn 2

Happy Autumn everyone! We are having lots and lots of rain to wash away the summer. Haven’t seen the sun for a few days now! I’ve been busy cooking, teaching, researching, and hand-sewing some felt leaves for a little autumn surprise for my little ladies. I’ve also been pondering starting an Earth Scouts group with a friend. If any of my Ohio friends are interested, email me a note. Dave said “yes” to Georgia by the way; you wouldn’t believe how many times the cities of NW Georgia, Athens and the Atlanta area have been googled in the last few days(weeks really). Only time will tell where the yes will take us! Have a lovely evening!

I’d love to see a pic of your felt leaves! I hope the rain lets up so you can enjoy the last days of “Indian Summer” (it’s been GLORIOUS here in Maine!)

    Hi Lisa!
If only California was one of the moving options!! ;)
I am looking forward to some fall weather here. I have been very busy preparing for my first reiki class this weekend with the kids, but I am going to do some fall decorating and crafts with them today.
    Have a great weekend!
    Lisa

Congrats on your future move! GA is a beautiful place. While you’re researching, here is a great site out of Athens, GA:

Northern Georgia is very pretty! The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is the biggest in the country and very cool ( if you’re not dragging a fussy teenager through it, like I did). The DeKalb Farmers Market, near Atlanta is not really a “Farmers” Market, but it’s a huge international grocery, that carries things you can’t find anywhere else.

Happy Autumn!! I am already enjoying driving around and seeing the decorated homes in this small town of ours! I’m making plans for my own new front porch soon!

A soon to be Georgian!! I hope you like the scent of pine! :) I am so excited to hear about where you will be going. Bergen’s father is a professor of photojournalism (most recently at Univ of Ky) and he is interviewing with a couple of places right now, one of which is the Univ of Ga, in Athens!! So, we might have to make a playdate someday!

    Hope all is well!!

Happy Autumn to you too. Can you believe we are moving into Winter. At least it is cold enough to be so the last couple days. Brrr.

Congratulations on your decision. Now you can look forward to new experiences in new places. I grew up in Georgia and it is a beautiful place. You will love it, I’m sure.

    Be sweet,
    Christie

oh, wonderful. I’m excited for your new beginnings and know you will have lots of adventure in GA. Funny you mention earth scouts… I just heard about it on my online homeschooling group.

  23. September 24, 2009

Good luck with the yes. A positive decision can only bring good things. Earth Scouts sounds wonderful – I have been looking for something to offer my homeschool community next year; this looks perfect.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Autumn to you too!

Moving, huh? Hope you have a safe journey and a smooth move.

Yeah, travel is what we do. Such is life in the Air Force. We’ve got our fingers crossed for Germany next. My husband loves it there. :)

  25. September 24, 2009

Congrats on the decision! A decision is SO much better than being in limbo. I have a good feeling that the ‘yes’ will take you to a good place.
    Happy Autumn too,
    Blessings and magic.

Good luck with GA! If you’re ever passing through NC and want to say hi, we’d love to feed you a meal or something. :)

Wow! How brave you all are to pick up your lives and move somewhere else. I’m sure you all made the right decision. Can’t wait to see how your new community shapes the activities you do. :)
