Classic Little Girls!
This week we were quite simply girly! The Little Ladies had a ball adding some Autumn accessories to Auntie Robin’s hair. The items stayed in rather well, even the mushroom!
Not only does this family frequently stop to smell the roses, we stop to admire rocks (and stand on the big ones of course)! Fauna’s dainty pose cracked me up!
Araina loved running up and down the drive with her blue Trader Joe’s balloon! Araina loves blue and finds it to be more girly than pink.
We started our mornings warming up our fingers with colorful dough. I loved Fauna’s bright dough dogs lined up on the windowsill.
Pipe cleaners have always been a favorite in our house, I loved Araina’s simple red balloon made for Felicity.
And finally, today there was a tea party with freshly picked flowers as the centerpiece.
Balloons, pipecleaner art, dough, rocks, tea parties and playing with hair……all classic and simply little girls (and boys too I’m guessing)!

That pipe cleaner balloon is cracking me up! So creative. And it will never deflate!
So wonderfully sweet and girly! Fauna’s dough dogs are so sweet!
I loved the picture of Aunt Robin
… As soon as the leaves fall, I’m going to see if they will stay in my rambunctious boys hair!
What a beautifully girly day. We have lots of those around here, too. Although, there seems to be a lot of Star Wars thrown in lately.
Just a joy to read your family stories. A little snippet of your lives to cheer up mine. Love to gather your ideas for a rainy day (we have plenty of those in Scotland!) Enjoyed a birthday tea party ourselves today, with all the family. Ahh, lovely, happy day!
I too admire your pictures and wonder how you make them?
Forrest
I just read two tea party posts in a row and now I really want some tea! Love the dough dogs and Fauna’s pose.
Rion would and has dun all those things! He loves to create things, yesterday he was looking for the sewing stuff but it has disappeared. I have so many creations around the house I’m not shore where to but any thing! I have put up cork board on the walls of the kitchen to hang all of his art work, I need to get some more.
got to love their wonderful creative minds!
by the way, I do not like opening your lovely little blog and seeing a giant picture of my profile! At least there were pretty little leaves to focus on.
hum. says a lot about the my hair that a mushroom would stay in it…
What lovely photos! Can I ask you a technical question? What is your favorite camera lens (or do you have several?) I see that you make such beautiful close-ups and portraits. I love learning from those that bring me so much inspiration, as you do! Many thanks!
What a beautiful day! I love your pictures
Such sweetness.
Wonderful.
I love the brightly colored doggies, too!
Thanks for all the sweet comments at my blog. Do you really like my WordPress site? I did, until the Gwyneth Paltrow link popped up. I just can’t decide if I want to pay (either Blogger or WordPress) to upgrade my blog, eliminating those goofy problems (like Gwyneth!).
But you’re right–I love the ability to post large photos at WordPress!
P.S., Did I mention I love your work-in-progress pink ribbon!!!!
seeing the crown of leaves gets me quite excited for autumn!!! we have a few fallen leaves but nothing like that!!! fun!
So sweet! As far as the pink vs. blue thing goes. I used to have a friend from Jordan who explained to me that in her part of the world, pink is a color for little boys, because red is considered a masculine color and pink is a lighter form of red.
Incredibly sweet post. I love the autumn crown. And the balloon is darling!
Cheers,
Christie
The pictures of the dough dogs is stunning!
Looks like fun times! I love the decorations your kids made in their aunt’s hair. So pretty. Yes, my boys love all that stuff too
Except maybe the doll!
Hi!
I linked over by your comment on my blog. I am totally in love with your blog and your knowledge of herb lore. I will be following you and also putting you in my favorites on my blog. Your girls are such beauties and I love the crafts they get involved in. Must send your link to Sister S. She’s raising her grandson, but I’m sure these are things he would enjoy too. Thanks for visiting. xxoo
